COATEX essential fatty acids (60 capsules)

EFAs are found in all cell membranes and are the building blocks of numerous important biological molecules, and ensure the correct structure and function of every cell. The primary EFAs are the omega-6 fatty acids: Linoleic Acid (LA) and Gamma
Linolenic Acid (GLA)
and the omega-3 fatty acids:
Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA).
All of them are considered essential for good health and well-being.
Where do these EFAs come from?
Omega-6 EFAs are found in vegetable oils; borage, blackcurrant and evening primrose oils are the most common sources of these EFAs. However, Coatex EFAs contains borage oil due to its higher levels of the important
GLA molecules compared to other vegetable oils. Omega-3 EFAs are found in deep sea oily fish. Coatex is sourced from Sardine and Anchovies that have been proven to have lower levels of contaminants compared to
other industry sources.
Why use COATEX®‚ as opposed to other brands?
The omega-6 fatty acids improve and maintain general skin and coat health, turnover and conditioning, which in combination to the omega-3 fatty acids reduce dry, scaly and itchy skin disorders.
Coatex contains the most up to date scientifically proven blend of omega-6 and -3 EFAs and as it is from a borage oil source it contains  more than double the concentration of traditional oils such as evening primrose oil.
When should I use COATEX® ?
It is recommended to use Coatex for general maintenance of a healthy coat and skin structure, in addition to skin and coat disorders that show signs of EFA deficiency, for instance:
• Dull
• Dry
• Scaly
• Itchy
• Poor hair growth
If you are concerned, we would recommend that you speak to your veterinarian for a full examination to ensure the correct course of action is taken.
How do I administer COATEX® ?
Coatex comes in two forms, a highly palatable soft gel capsule or a special liquid pump, that delivers an equal quantity as one capsule.
Both are designed to ensure maximum freshness and prevent the degradation of the EFAs within it. The capsules can be given alone or mixed in with the feed, whereas the liquid should be added and mixed in with
the daily meal. Make sure your pet is receiving the correct dosage for its body weight and skin condition by speaking to your veterinarian.
How long will it take for COATEX® to work?
This will depend on the initial condition of the pet, but in general it takes three to four weeks for improvement to be seen.
